Notice to guardians

SoloBox is primarily intended for adults and includes long-term file storage, beneficiary settings, Inheritance Guard, and scheduled delivery features that may have continuing consequences. A minor should use SoloBox only while accompanied by a guardian who has read and agreed to all applicable rules. Any arrangement involving property, inheritance, or delivery of content to another person should be carefully assessed and lawfully handled by the guardian.

1. Scope

A natural person under 18 is a minor, and a minor under 14 is a child. We follow the principle of the best interests of minors and process relevant information only for clear purposes, to the minimum extent necessary, and with appropriate safeguards.

2. Guardian Consent

A child must obtain guardian consent before using SoloBox. The guardian should help the child understand the risks associated with recovery phrases, file uploads, IPFS storage, third-party services, and information delivery, and should manage device permissions and unlock credentials.

If you are a minor, do not bypass guardian consent. If you are a guardian, confirm that you personally provide consent and supervise the minor so that the minor uploads only content that the minor has the right to process.

3. Information We May Process

When guardian consent has been obtained and the minor actually uses the relevant features, we may process:

The complete fields, purposes, permissions, and third-party recipients are described in the Personal Information Collection List and the Third-Party Information Sharing List.

4. Prohibitions and Restrictions

A minor must not upload nude images, identity documents, bank cards, medical records, precise movement information, family secrets, or other content that may create a material risk to the minor or another person, and must not use the service to harass, deceive, or threaten anyone. A user under 18 should not independently rely on Sentinel Protocol or Time Capsule to make inheritance, property-disposition, or other arrangements requiring full civil capacity.

5. Storage, Sharing, and Cross-Border Risks

Files may be synchronized to Pinata or the IPFS network. Some service providers or nodes may be outside China, and we may be unable to completely remove every IPFS copy. Before consenting to a child's use, the guardian should carefully read the cross-border processing section of the Privacy Policy. Children's personal information should not be provided overseas without separate consent and satisfaction of applicable legal requirements.

6. Rights of Guardians and Minors

A guardian or minor may lawfully request access, copying, correction, supplementation, or deletion of information, withdrawal of consent, restriction of processing, or termination of service. Email support@solobox.com.cn and explain the relationship to the minor and the request. To protect the minor, we may request necessary identity and guardianship evidence and will generally respond within 15 business days.

7. Processing Discovered Without Consent

If we discover that a child's personal information has been processed without valid guardian consent, we will stop the relevant processing and delete or anonymize the information as required by law. Where laws require retention or third-party IPFS copies are technically beyond our complete control, we will take measures such as unpinning and deleting indexes within the systems we control.

8. Updates and Contact

When these Rules are updated, we will provide notice through the app or website. Minor-protection contact: support@solobox.com.cn.
